Richard Seymour to Speak to Arizona State Bar in September 2007

The Arizona State Bar Employment and Labor Law Section has invited Richard Seymour to speak at its Fall Seminar in Sedona, Arizona in September 2007. This has been an annual occurrence for a number of years.

The topics to be discussed include sexual harassment and hostile environments, new standards in discrimination, retaliation and whistleblower cases, and the full range of remedies: injunctions, back pay, front pay, liquidated damages, compensatory damages, and punitive damages. He will discuss new cases in which the Supreme Court has granted review, changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Evidence, broad trends in employment litigation, and new examples of how to prove and defend cases.

A Washington, D,C,, employment lawyer, Mr. Seymour also represents clients and classes across the country, in association with counsel in other States. He has already spoken on similar topics in 2007 for the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law (June 2007); the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in Philadelphia (April 2007), Georgetown University Law Center (April 2007), the National Employment Lawyers’ Association in San Juan, Puerto Rico (June 2007), the American Association for Justice Employment Rights Section in Chicago (July 2007), and the American Law Institute-American Bar Association (ALI-ABA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico (July 2007).
